No. The setup guide walks you through everything from creating a free Alpaca account to running your first bot. If you can follow instructions and run a Python script, you're ready. Most customers are up and running within an hour.
Is this guaranteed to make money? +
No — and anyone who guarantees trading profits is lying to you. What we can honestly say is that every symbol in the system was validated against 365 days of real historical data and showed positive returns. Past performance doesn't guarantee future results, which is why we start with paper trading.
What do I need to run the bots? +
A computer running Windows or Mac, Python installed (free), a free Alpaca account for paper trading (no money required to start), and a Gmail account for email alerts. The full requirements list is in the setup guide.
Does my computer need to stay on? +
Yes — the bots run on your local machine, so your computer needs to be awake and connected to the internet while they run. The setup guide includes instructions for running on a cloud server if you want 24/7 operation without your personal computer.
How is this different from other trading bots I've seen? +
